Michalis Kefalianos was born in 1970 on the island of Kos! He started working in construction from a young age, and after completing his military service at the age of 20, he took up weightlifting as a hobby and to build physical strength. In 1991, he met his wife, spent a few years living in Australia, started a family, and eventually returned permanently to Kos.
In 1998, after making significant progress, Michalis Kefalianos made his debut in Greek bodybuilding competitions such as Mr. Aegean and Mr. Hellas, both of which he won. In 2003, at the WABBA World Championship, he placed 9th, and from that point on, he maintained a steady upward trajectory, receiving invitations and competing in international contests.
The year 2009 was a turning point for Michalis, as he competed as an Australian citizen in the Arnold Amateur Classic, where he took 3rd place in the tall category and earned his IFBB pro card.
Today, Michalis Kefalianos is the best bodybuilder in Greece and one of the top professional bodybuilders in the world!
He has raised the Greek flag high in the world of bodybuilding and truly deserves our admiration.
Ο Μιχάλης Κεφαλιανός γεννήθηκε το 1970 στο νησί της Κω και έχει άλλα 11 αδέρφια! Ξεκίνησε από μικρός να εργάζεται ως οικοδόμος και μετά τη στρατιωτική του θητεία, σε ηλικία 20 ετών, ασχολήθηκε με την άρση βαρών ως χομπίστας και για να δυναμώσει σωματικά. Το 1991 γνώρισε την γυναίκα του, έζησε μερικά χρόνια στην Αυστραλία, δημιούργησε οικογένεια και στη συνέχεια επέστρεψε μόνιμα στην Κω.
Το 1998, μετά από μεγάλη πρόοδο, ο Μιχάλης Κεφαλιανός έκανε την εμφάνισή του σε ελληνικούς διαγωνισμούς bodybuilding όπως το Mr. Αιγαίου και Mr. Ελλάς στους οποίους βγήκε πρώτος. Το 2003 στο Παγκόσμιο Πρωτάθλημα της WABBA, κερδίζει την 9η θέση και από τότε έχει μια σταθερά ανοδική πορεία με προσκλήσεις και συμμετοχές σε διεθνείς αγώνες.
Το 2009 είναι η χρονιά σταθμός για τον Μιχάλη όπου παίρνει μέρος ως Αυστραλός πολίτης στο Arnold Amateur Classic, καταλαμβάνει την 3η θέση στην υψηλή κατηγορία και κερδίζει την επαγγελματική του κάρτα IFBB.
Σήμερα, ο Μιχάλης Κεφαλιανός είναι ο καλύτερος bodybuilder της Ελλάδας και ένας από τους κορυφαίους επαγγελματιές bodybuilders παγκοσμίως!
Έχει ανεβάσει τα ελληνικά χρώματα πολύ ψηλά στο χώρο της σωματοδόμησης και αξίζει τον θαυμασμό όλων μας.
